Step 1: Create an Account

Go to the Igbo API Editor Platform to create an account on the platform. You can sign up with your email or Google account. We recommend signing up with a Gmail account to skip step 2.

Step 2: Verify your email

If you typed in your email and password, then you will need to verify your email address by checking your inbox and clicking on the verification link.

Step 3: Select the ‘Record Igbo audio’ option

We’re focusing on recording audio for Igbo sentences. Please click on the Record Igbo audio option to get started.

Step 4: Record audio for your given batch

The platform will show you five random sentence that you will need to record audio for. Please attempt to record each sentence within your batch. Once you complete the batch, the green button will become clickable so you can submit your work.

<aside> ❗ Your recorded audio is only saved when you click on the green Submit button. So please remember to click the button.

Step 5: Rinse and Repeat

Once you’ve submitted your batch, you will have the option to complete another batch or to return home. Congrats 🎉 you’ve contributed your first portion of Igbo audio data!
