Dialectal variations - For example, let’s say that we have the headword bịa. That word can have different dialectal variations. In order for us to get to 25,000 dialectal variations, one word could produce multiple dialectal variations
Complete document - A complete document is a Word, Example, Word Suggestion, or Example Suggestion that includes data for all possible metadata fields. In theory, it doesn’t need any more information inputted into the document.
Sufficient document - A sufficient document is a Word, Example, Word Suggestion, or Example Suggestion that includes the bare minimum of information to be considered “valuable” and showcase the essence of a Word or Example
Insufficient document - An insufficient document is a Word, Example, Word Suggestion, or Example Suggestion that doesn’t include the bare minimum of metadata points to be considered sufficient.
Words - words that are public for the entire world to see. These word documents have been cleaned, verified, and prepped to be used for other projects. Editors do NOT have any direct writing permissions to word documents.
Examples - examples that are public for the entire world to see. These example documents have been cleaned, verified, and prepped to be used for other projects. Editors do NOT have any direct writing permissions to example documents.
WordSuggestions - wordSuggestions are user-created document that suggest an editor to either a pre-existing word or suggesting creating a completely new word.
ExampleSuggestions - exampleSuggestions are user-created documents that suggest an edit either a pre-existing example or suggesting creating a complete new example.
Headword - the main word entry for any given word document. These are the main words that appear when you search for a word
Editor - A user that has access to the Editor's portal and is able to edit any WordSuggestion, ExampleSuggestion, or GenericWord documents in the database.
Merger - A user (typically a professional lexicographer/translator or experienced volunteer member) that has the ability to not only edit WordSuggestion, ExampleSuggestion, or GenericWord documents but also has the ability to create new Word and Example documents by merging them from suggestion objects.
Admin - A project owner that has the ability to change user permissions, delete documents, and perform more admin-specific actions.
