The Audience

You are contributing to a dictionary for a reader who possibly doesn't speak Igbo fluently and only has up to secondary school level understanding of English. This means our definitions must be clear, concise, and provide tons of contextual information.

This also means that example sentences should be grammatically correct and consistent in quality.

You cannot assume our readers will understand certain English words. Again, our audience is non-Igbo speakers without an advanced English vocabulary. Complex or uncommon words cannot be used in definitions. Instead, use simplistic or easy-to-understand English words.
