Lexicographer/Translator Onboarding
Igbo API Editor Platform Reference Guide
This document walks through the steps that Reviewers will take to ensure that our data stay consistent throughout the entire project. By the end of reading this document, you should have a more clear idea of what it means to fully review, approve/deny, and merge word and example documents on the Igbo API Editor Platform.
We expect that a total of 60%-70% of all word and example suggestions have been reviewed (approved or denied) by both reviewers. This will ensure that the grand majority of words and examples are following the rules stated in the Dictionary Editing Standards document.
To get as much context on how a typical translator works within the Nkọwa okwu + Igbo API community, you can can follow the Lexicographer/Translator Onboarding document.
Visit the Word/Example Suggestion list view to see all the word suggestions that are currently waiting to get approved, denied or merged.
If you see a green checkmark for a word/example entry, that means that you have already reviewed that document (either approved or denied the document) and can move onto the next word entry.
<aside> 💡 Important: Please constantly use the Dictionary Editing Standards when reviewing words and example sentences. This standards document will be updated throughout the project’s timeline and ensures that our data stays consistent.
