The Project Manager

Here’s some background information about the Project Manager Role

Setting Up and Facilitating Meetings

It’s the Project Manager’s responsibility to create weekly meetings with team members to ensure that the project is moving along as expected

Specifically, we have a section where it’s the Project Manager’s responsibility to take notes during each meeting Meeting Notes

This means that you will be present for four different types of meetings:

Get Familiar with the Igbo API Editor Platform

You will be working with Lexicographers, Reviewers, and Software engineers who will be spending most of their time working the Igbo API Editor Platform

Please follow the Lexicographer/Translator Onboarding documentation to set up an account within the platform if you haven’t already.

Present Updates to Igbo API Community Calls

Every other Saturday we hold Igbo API Community meetings where our volunteers are present to share their work that they’ve completed within a two week time period.

It’s our responsibility to our community to be transparent and open with the progress that’s being made within this project.

For community meetings, please be prepared to share updates (number of words in the database, new features built into the platform, updates to the process and standards document, etc.) to the community. Every meeting you should have an update to share!
